Founder | Marine Career Planning Mentor
Jack Dubinsky started his marine science career at age 12 as an aquarium volunteer. He received his bachelor's degree in marine sciences from the Evergreen State College and has professional marine experiences in research, education, animal care, conservation, habitat restoration, and leadership. In his most recent position as the director of a public aquarium, Jack trained and mentored over 150 marine science students from all over the United States, many of whom are working in the marine field or perusing advanced degrees. After reviewing 500+ aquarium internship applications over the years, Jack has a keen awareness of which institutions offer the most comprehensive marine science educations, opportunities, and internships. Jack is currently a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University where he is studying museum studies.

Izzy Gaw, born and raised in Los Angeles, has always had an affinity for marine science. She attended Skidmore College for her bachelor's where she graduated with honors in Biology with a double minor in Studio Art and Periclean Honors Forum. At Skidmore, Izzy worked in the Career Development Center and helped fellow students develop their resumes and applications. After graduating, Izzy worked at several aquariums and scientific institutions across the United States. After gaining significant experience in marine animal care and science, Izzy attended the University of Hawai'i's Masters graduate program in Marine Biology with a full scholarship. Presently, Izzy is working in the marine sciences in Woods Hole, MA. Throughout her professional career thus far, Izzy has mentored 100+ students that have successful careers across the marine and environmental sciences field.
